Mural illustration: Collision, Toronto 2024

An illustration piece to capture the energy, beauty and vibrance of Lisbon.

I created this large-scale mural illustration for the 2024 edition of Collision conference in Toronto. It’s goal was to capture the pulse and vibrancy of the host city.

The artwork was designed as a wall installation for the event, and as a motion graphics piece to play on stage screens. It was inspired by Toronto’s iconic skyline, neon lights, and nightlife energy. It blends urban landmarks with flowing hand-lettering to reflect both the spirit of innovation and the cultural heartbeat of the city.

Set against a deep black background, the design comes to life through vivid line work in electric reds, blues, and yellows, drawing from the glow of the city after dark. From the CN Tower to the streetcars and signature architecture, each element is stylized to feel like part of a lit-up marquee. The custom “Toronto” script flows through the composition like a glowing trail, anchoring the piece with warmth and motion.

This mural was created to not only showcase the city’s identity but to invite attendees into an immersive, visually rich experience. It offered a bold, modern tribute to Toronto—perfectly in tune with Collision’s celebration of tech, creativity, and connection.
